What you get

Every document a VAT-registered store needs

Built for one job: the paperwork that goes with each order. No template builder to learn, no per-order billing.

Sequential numbering

Gap-free invoice and credit-note numbers per shop, with your own prefixes. Each number is allocated once and kept.

VAT per rate

Net price, quantity, discount and rate on every line, with VAT totals per rate, on the amounts Shopify calculated.

Reverse charge for B2B

Record the customer's VAT number and ParcelSlip adds the reverse-charge wording for business sales across borders.

Credit notes for refunds

Refunds get a numbered credit note that refers back to the original invoice, line by line.

Pro-formas for drafts

Open a draft order as a pro-forma, clearly marked as not a VAT invoice, then print it or save it as a PDF.

Print or save as PDF

Open any order in your Shopify admin and print it, or save a PDF from your browser for your records.

On every invoice

The fields your accountant looks for

  • Sequential invoice number
  • Issue date and tax point
  • Your legal name, address and VAT number
  • Customer name and address
  • Customer VAT number (B2B)
  • Description, quantity and unit price
  • Discounts on the amounts Shopify applied
  • VAT rate and amount per line
  • VAT totals per rate
  • Reverse-charge wording when it applies

What ParcelSlip does not do

It uses the tax Shopify calculated for each order. It does not decide which VAT rates apply to your products, file returns, or check VAT numbers with HMRC or VIES.

It is not legal or tax advice and does not guarantee compliance. Check your obligations with an accountant or your tax authority.

How it works

Set up once, then open any order

  1. Install from Shopify

ParcelSlip runs inside your Shopify admin. It asks only to read orders and draft orders.

  2. Add your VAT details

Enter your legal name, address, VAT number and invoice prefixes once.

  3. Issue and print

Open an order, issue the numbered invoice, then print it or save it as a PDF.

FAQ

Questions merchants ask

Is this tax advice or a compliance certification?

No. ParcelSlip helps you produce invoices that contain the fields UK and EU VAT rules require, using the tax amounts Shopify calculated. It does not decide your VAT treatment and does not guarantee compliance.

Which VAT rates does it use?

The ones on the Shopify order. Configure your tax settings in Shopify; ParcelSlip shows what was charged, per line and per rate.

How do I record a customer's VAT number?

Add an order attribute whose name contains "VAT" (for example "VAT number") at checkout or on the order. ParcelSlip checks the format of the number, not whether it is registered.

Does ParcelSlip store my customers' data?

No customer names, addresses or order contents are stored. Invoices are rendered from Shopify when you open them; we keep only your settings and the numbers issued, so the sequence stays gap-free.

How do I cancel?

Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. Billing stops with the subscription.
